Does Your Website Bring You Clients?

Do you have a website for your coaching practice?

If so, does it bring you a constant stream of enquiries from prospective clients? If not you could be missing out on a relatively simple way to attract new coaching clients into your practice.

Most coaching websites I see follow a familiar and mostly ineffective pattern (which I've covered in previous newsletters) but to summarise:

1. They focus on the owner not the visitor - Who do you think the visitor is most interested in - you or them? Yep - they are most interested in themselves so why use most of your pages talking about you?

2. They focus on coaching rather than results received from coaching - Remember that people buy benefits not processes - so shouldn't you focus on benefits instead?

3. They don't generate enquires from prospective clients - If you don't have ways to encourage visitors to interact with you, how are they doing to move closer to becoming clients in your coaching practice?

As a result, they generate very few enquiries, let alone new clients. This is a shame, because you can have a website that brings you clients - with the right approach.

Wouldn't it be great if you had a website that helps you to stand out from the plethora of other coaching sites out there and generates a stream of enquiries and paying clients too? Imagine receiving enquiries from all over the world from people keen to work with you.

This is much easier said than done if you don't have a method to produce the content for such a site. However, there is a very effective method to create the content that attracts clients...

Whenever working with personal clients to develop a client-attracting website I always refer them to just one resource - The Website Toolkit by Robert Middleton.

In fact, in September 2003 I invested $1,500 to work with Robert one-on-one on how to market my practice mainly online. Within two years I'd built a global practice with clients in the UK, mainland Europe and the US. His material works like gang busters :-)

Last year, Robert detailed his entire method in the Website Toolkit - for just $49. However, you can download the first audio lesson and worksheet completely without charge so you can experience the quality of the content of the program and make your own informed decision - don't just take my word for it.

A lot of my clients have used the toolkit and told me how fun the process has been as well as how tremendously useful they found the program. They've all thanked me for this resource so I thought I'd share it with you too.

If you want to create the content that attracts clients into your coaching practice I really encourage you to look at The Website Toolkit by Robert Middleton. Remember that you can download the first lesson without charge to experience the quality of this program and make your own decision.

So, does your website bring you clients?

With very best wishes,

Shaun
