Get
More Clients by Doing Less
Do
you find that you are doing a lot of work in the area of marketing
but seeing very little in the way of results? This is a common
challenge that I've observed with many coaches that I meet.
They say that they're putting in a lot of effort but just not
attracting many new clients at all. For some, not even a sniff
:-P
I've
observed the following types of marketing activity patterns
with coaches that I've met and worked with over the years. Which
category best describes you?
1.
Little effort, little results - In this case, you
put a little in and you get a little out. This is Universal
Law I'm afraid and there's no use trying to change that deal.
2.
Big effort, little results - If you find yourself
in this camp it can be very frustrating. You're out there
doing a lot of activity but you're just not realising the
results. You're doing plenty of sewing but very little in
the way of reaping. The gap between sowing and reaping seems
far too long.
Are
you sewing the right seeds? Is most of your marketing activity
simply ineffective?
3.
Big effort, big results - If you're in this group
then at least you're seeing big results for your efforts.
However, it sure is tiring though isn't it? Yes you've got
a stream of clients coming into your practice but boy oh boy
do you have to work for it.
4.
Little effort, big results - Consider yourself fortunate
if you have achieved this level. You've learned the secret
of leverage and taking the most effective actions that get
you more results in less time. Pat yourself on the back.
From
the outline above I'm sure that you would prefer to be in the
latter group. To do this you need to learn the distinction between
being a student and a master. Here goes:
A
student produces less whilst doing more and more.
A
master produces more by doing less and less.

Tips to get more clients with less effort
Here
are some tips to help you to move into the latter group where
you get more clients with less effort:
1.
Measure - Get into the habit of measuring the effect
of all of your marketing activities. Which methods produce
the best results for your practice?
Extra
tip: If you receive an enquiry for your coaching
services always ask the potential client how they
heard about you. Make a note of this and then you will be
able to identify which marketing efforts are producing the
greatest response. This gives you useful information on how
your resources of time, energy and m0ney can be better spent
in the future.
2.
Select - Check the results of your marketing activities
and select those that are producing the biggest results. Focus
your efforts on these and eliminate the activities that produce
little or no results.
3.
Leverage - Look for the activities that give you
massive leverage in terms of time, energy and money contrasted
to results obtained.
For
example, 3 weeks ago I delivered a teleclass that took just
over 1 hour to deliver to at least 15 attendees. It only c0st
me 79p for the call and some preparation and follow-up time
and it has resulted in business worth over £1,000 already.
Now that's leverage :-)
So,
how can you get more clients in less time?

wishes,
