What's
Your Conversion Rate?
Do
you have an answer to this vital question? If not, you could
find yourself looking for more prospective clients than you
really need to. Why? If you can focus on increasing your conversion
rate instead, you can decrease the number of prospective clients
you need to see to attract the same number of clients into your
coaching practice.
In
my experience working with coaches, less than 10% even have
a figure for their conversion of prospects into clients and
only a few more realise know how to calculate the number in
the first place.
Taking
a step back, do you even know what a conversion rate is as it
applies to your coaching practice? Let me provide a simple definition
in plain English:
Your
conversion rate is the figure you get when you divide the
number of people who decide to become clients by the total
number of people who enquire about potentially using your
coaching services.
For
example, let's say you get 10 people enquiring about your services
and 4 decide to become clients in your coaching practice. Your
conversion rate is then 40% isn't it? Now if you're not measuring
this you don't know where you stand, i.e. you don't know how
good or bad your conversion is.
Focus
on improving your conversion and you will need to see less prospective
clients to attract the amount of clients you desire. Put another
way, you'll need to kiss less frogs to attract your Princes/Princesses
:-)
What's
Your Biggest Marketing Mistake?
Do
you know the biggest marketing mistake you're making in your
coaching practice at the moment? If not, it could be hurting
your coaching practice unnecessarily. In my time helping coaches
to build their practices, I've found that there are 5 common
mistakes coaches make in attempting to attract clients. Are
you making these mistakes?
On
Wednesday, 30th November at 8pm UK Time (3pm EST, 12 noon PST),
I'll be delivering an informative teleclass on The
5 Biggest Mistakes Coaches Make in Their Practice.
If you'd like to be a part of this complimentary teleclass,

If
you don't receive details within 24 hours, then please let me

Tips on improving your conversion
Here
are some tips on how you can improve the conversion of prospects
into clients in your coaching practice:
1.
Measure It - The first step is to become aware of
what your conversion numbers are like. Either look back at
your notes to calculate your conversion so you can get a feel
for how good (or bad) it is.
Also,
commit to measure the conversion figures in your coaching
practice from this day forward.
2.
Track It - Once you measure your conversion it is
vital that you consistently track the figure to monitor the
trends. This will help you to know if your conversion is going
up or down and you can take corrective steps if required.
You
may want to consider plotting a chart of your conversion figures
so you can see the trend more clearly.
3.
Improve It - Begin to look at each step in your conversion
process and ask how you can tweak it to increase your conversion
rate. Remember, if you double your conversion rate, you'll
halve the number of prospective clients you need to see to
attract the same number of clients into your coaching practice.
P.S.
Here is an article I wrote last year that describes the process
I use to get 75-80% conversion from the enquiries I receive:

So,
what's your conversion rate?
